Sessions & Confidentiality
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 60 minutes. Intake sessions may run slightly longer.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Sessions and records are kept confidential in accordance with HIPAA and Texas law, with the standard exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to yourself or others).
When is my information not kept confidential?
By law, confidentiality has limited exceptions: risk of serious harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly, or dependent adult, and court orders requiring disclosure.
